Five-minute tour

Glub is designed to be learned in layers: browse first, branch when it helps, then zoom out when the current task grows.

  1. Search or open a website. Start typing on Glub’s opening page, or press Ctrl + L from anywhere to enter a URL or search.

  2. Browse with home-row keys. When a webpage does not own a text field, j | k scroll, h | l go back or forward, and r reloads.

  3. Follow a link without losing its source. Press F, type the label shown over a link, then choose a direction with h, j, k, or l. Press Enter instead to navigate in the current tile.

  4. Create an independent search tile. Press t, then choose h | j | k | l. Press Enter to replace the current tile with a fresh search page. The direction prompt groups Enter under Current and directional keys under New tile.

  5. Zoom out to manage the layout. Press W for Window Overview. Select a tile with HJKL or the arrow keys, then press Enter to focus it.

  6. Move from layout to context. Press W again from Window Overview to see Workspaces and Stash. A third W returns toward browsing.

  7. Find open work or retrace old work. Press T for Open Page Control, or H for the History Map.

Input mode is automatic

When you select a text field, the webpage receives normal typing automatically. You do not need a separate command to enter input mode. Press Esc to return the keyboard to browser controls.

The keyboard reference lists every command. The command bar inside Glub remains the fastest reference because it changes with the view and selected item.
